Monforte d’Alba in the Langhe
Palazzo d’Assi is located on the edge of the pedestrian area, in the heart of the ancient hamlet of Monforte d’Alba, formerly “Mons Fortis”, a name that in itself tells of a hamlet perched with its maze of colourful buildings and alleys going all the way up to the top of the hill.
A position that requires some effort to walk up to, but which reserves the reward of magical atmospheres and breath-taking glimpses and views.
Today, one of the 11 municipalities of Barolo, in the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Monforte perhaps counts the largest number of the most famous producers of this universally known and recognized wine.
Choosing to stay in Monforte means living the authentic experience of the Langhe, in a strategic position for reaching the main points of interest both in terms of food and wine experiences, and for visiting the rich historical and artistic heritage of this land.
Choosing Palazzo d’Assi in Monforte means choosing to take a journey through time, starting from the origins of these hills, when its fame for wine was still to come.
Parking
It is possible to park the car for loading and unloading in front of the Palazzo between via della Torre and via Boeri, or, if there is room, park along the wall of via della Torre without blocking the no parking areas.
As an alternative, a large free car park is available on the corner of via Ospedale and via del Carretto, about 150 meters away.
